She loved his warmth
He had a warm and loving heart
But she loved to lay next to him
Because he was so warm
No matter how cold it was
He had the warmth
To keep her warm when close
All he had to do
Was lay still for her
As she would cozy up
Spoiled by his warmth
Memory would last forever
In her heart
But her mind could never rod
Of the pain
Her heart felt
When he didn't come home
And she laid alone in bed
Shivering missing his warmth
He didn't call home
Someone else did
Asking her to come down
To verify if it was him
When she was called to the morgue
To identify his body
For the first and last time
She has ever touched him
He was cold
